The most expensive in the world wine is bought by the unknown American

The bottle of a legendary French wine «Chateau d’Ikem» 1787 was sold for 90 thousand dollars. Thus, each wineglass costs about 18 thousand dollars. Grapes for this bottle of «Chateau d’Ikem» had been collected, when Lui XVI sat on a throne in Parisl, and in the USA the post of the president was occupied by George Washington. The known European wine negotiator Stephen Williams sold this unique relic to the anonymous American collector.
It is not worth to expect, that after more than two hundred years this wine will look a great perfection in a glass. Many experts agree in opinion, that the award to the buyer of such wine will be a historical value of a rarity, rather than wine itself. Stephen Williams said: “In a case with «Chateau d’Ikem» the buyer receives a great sensation of a touch to the history, while this wine was collected at that time when Washington was going to become the first president the USA, and on other side of the ocean, in France, revolution stormed”.
